Abdulkadir Ahmed Aw-Ali, known as Firdhiye, is a Somali politician who was elected the first President of the Northeastern State of Somalia, formed from the SSC-Khaatumo administration, in August 2025.

Description

Profiled as the leader of a federal member state in formation. He was elected on 30 August 2025, winning 62 of 83 votes, and the federal government recognized the state in September 2025.
